• Monitors compliance to the Company HSMS by conducting regular inspections and internal auditing of site activities
• Monitor compliance with established site safety rules and make sure these are conspicuously posted
• Conduct a daily tour of the working areas and log details of the observations on the Daily Observation Register. Unsafe conditions and unsafe acts are to be taken care of immediately. Raise Near Miss / Incident Reports when highlighted
• Assist the Construction Supervisors in undertaking risk assessments and identifying safe systems of work to be recorded in safe work method statements
• Develop and deliver training courses on health and safety topics to the team
• Assist Construction Supervisors in delivering Pre-Task Briefings to the workforce on the control measures identified in risk assessments and the safe system of work to be adhered to.
• Review subcontractor Health & Safety plans
• Advise the Construction Supervisors relative to the Company HSMS requirements.
• Provide weekly input of H&S statistics and data to HSE Coordinator
• HSE training for Saipem staff (in different project stages).
PTW Coordinator
• Participate to risk assessments and pre-job / kick-off meetings as required.
• Collect and review all work permits prior to the daily work permit meeting with the objective to ensure the compliance with the work permit procedure.
• Assess interference between activities.
• Propose arbitrage between jobs in the case of conflicting activities.
• Perform preliminary site visit on work locations as required.
• Participate to the daily work permit coordination meeting.
• Ensure smooth permit opening session every morning taking into account operational priorities.
• Assist the commissioning team
• Visit working sites to follow-up progress of activities and to track any change in the environment not foreseen during the work permit preparation.
