    Roles of Wnt/atypical PKC, Ryk signaling and autophagy in axonal degeneration and amyotrophic lateral
    sclerosis (ALS).
    - Studied the signaling pathway involved in axonal degeneration induced by atypical PKC inhibition. ;
    - Set up surgery for intracerebroventricular infusion of antibodies in ALS mice. ;
    - Recorded weight, survival and locomotor behavior of ALS mice using Rotarod. ;
    - Analyzed data, interpreted and orally communicated results during regular meetings. ;
    - Maintained and extended different transgenic mouse lines. ;
    - Directly trained and supervised 3 undergraduate and 1 master students. ;
    - Assisted the principal investigator for grant writing and reviewing articles. ;
    - Wrote individually one research article. ;
    - Presented one poster to the SFN and attended meetings organized by the Packard Center for ALS.

    3- Interaction of p57KIP2 and LIM-Kinase 1 in cell process outgrowth and migration of cerebral cortical precursors.
    - Developed Cip/Kip and LIM-kinase 1 overexpressing vectors and transfection of primary cortical neuronal cell precursors.
    - Set up surgery for intracerebroventricular injections and in utero electroporation. Breeded and analyzed phenotypes of p57KIP2- and p27KIP1 -deficient mice.
    - Directly supervised and trained 4 undergraduate students.
    - Participated in NIH and NSF grant writing.
    - Assisted for reviewing articles submitted in peer-reviewed journals.
    - Attended and presented posters to the Society For Neuroscience.
    - Wrote individually and in collaboration 3 research articles and 1 review.
