- Plan, direct control and manage the activities of assigned personnel (+80 locals & expatriates) in the Inspection & Maintenance department. Perform supervisory functions and exercise financial authority at level established by Management.
- Responsible for setting company inspection & maintenance policy and monitoring compliance.
- Agree and set corporate objectives and Maintenance department performance targets and manage appropriate strategies in order to translate company missions into measurable divisional activities.
- Set the Department’s Key Performance Indicators and manages their successful progress.
- Ensure availability and reliability of the Gas process Plant and all associated facilities.
- Meet the operational requirements and that all work is undertaken in efficient manner and according to national and international codes of best Engineering practice.
- Assure the safety of personnel and equipment through compliance with Health Safety & Environment regulations and maintain the attitude that all accidents are preventable. Coordinate efforts for Plant-wide compliance with the Company’s loss control and environmental protection programs.
- Ensure the Gas Process Plant and equipment performance are regularly monitored and analyzed to maintain and improve availability and reliability.
- Manage maintains and improves Reliability Maintenance Program. Ensure that the department’s staff is kept aware of Modern Maintenance Techniques and Developments to achieve the desired performance level.
- Direct the overall planning of maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance routines and train major overhauls. Ensure that the required maintenance work is resourced and completed

o Responsible of all electrical & HVAC sections of the gas process plant. Main duties are to supervise the installation, maintenance, repair and testing of a wide range of electrical equipment (including LV, MV and HV) generators, motors, transformers, cables, UPS, control panels, power distribution system including modern microprocessor based protection relays, Integrated protection of control systems and associated switchgears in the plant:
o Supervise, direct and coordinate the activities of all assigned personnel (1 engineer, 2 foremen, 10 technicians & HVAC team), and ensure that all works are performed according to established plans and schedules, and are complied with all company HSE policies.
o Monitor work execution and provide guidance to ensure conformity to statutory and company regulations.
o Ensure proper utilization of manpower, equipment and tooling assigned to the plant.
o Follow-up and direct the implementation of preventive and annual electrical maintenance plans.
o Ensure proper analysis of all information in the daily defect book, and initiate necessary corrective action as necessary.
o Attend plant shutdown activities and ensure timely completion of job activities.
o Recommend to foremen work plans as required to realize the greatest stability of work force, maximum utilization of facilities and equipment at minimum cost.
o Initiate any necessary design modifications to ensure reliability of the plant.
o Deal personally with more complex maintenance and participates in shutdown and turnaround maintenance and planning activities.
o Maintain proper records of plant electrical maintenance and submit information to direct superior for analysis.
o Check and ensure that all required work shop activities are performed properly and accurately.
o Provide superior with adequate information to prepare work progress, cost and other reports required by management.
o Implement established procedures for the purchasing and requisitioning of materials from stores.

- Section head responsible for the maintenance, overhauling and testing of various types of electrical equipments (Ansaldo generators & motors, Merlin Gerin switchgears, Hazmayer transformers, rectifiers, inverters etc)
- Provide assistance and advise a team of technicians in implementation and development of predictive maintenance programs (CMMS) for gas plants by using software called R5
- Assume the coordination between the electrical and production sections in order to optimize overhauling equipments.
