• Good understanding of contract fundamentals with an experience in managing contractors under the terms of the contract.
• Ensure electrical construction –ground grid, cabling, structures, conductors, major equipment, etc- are installed and built as per specification.
• Assist with bid evaluation.
• Assist with construction schedule including indentifying outages required.
• Preparation of project specification for material and equipment purchase and installation.
• Manage land owner concerns and right of way access.
• Review the drawings prior to beginning construction to ensure that the project can be built is a safe and reliable manner.
• Coordinate all field functions including scheduling of any required outage or to respond to citizen and local authority’s complaints.
• Ensure that all material arriving at site meets the company and international standards.
• Ensure As-Built and other return data are completed in a timely manner.
• Maintaining good working relationship with material suppliers, contractors, and any others that affect the quality, schedule and cost of projects.
• Maintain good working relationship with internal groups that support projects such us procurement, project management, etc.
• Provide the electrical team with technical assistance.
• Good knowledge for local and international standards and regulations.
• Develop plans, technical and business specifications, and cost estimation for installations, maintenance, repair and expansion of the electrical “overhead & underground” distribution system, including substations.
• Coordinate the work of crews engaged in operations and maintenance of structures, distribution lines and substations.
• Lead marketing and sales campaigns to open new markets and ensure costumer connectivity for my organization’s portfolio of clients
• Maintain a safe, professional and organized work environment.
• Monitor the electric system performance.
• Inspect the installation of electrical equipment and related facilities.
• Maintain the preventative maintenance program.
• Visiting the field to assist with troubleshooting issues or to deliver replacement equipment as required.
• Manage the maintenance and capital improvements of the distribution system, substations, switch yards, sectionalizing devices and relays
• Take in charge of sales and marketing campaigns of goods and services and ensure costumer connectivity.
• Perform system protection and coordination studies.
• Respond to emergency conditions and assist in restoring the electrical distribution system to normal operation.
• Prepare job studies, reports and recommendations pertaining to the overall electric energy system operations.
• Recommend construction practices and procedures.
• Calculate customer loads for sizing transformer banks and services.
• Maintain the required level of electric material stock with consumption estimations based on analyses of incident frequency and effectiveness of maintenance program.
• Supervise the electric material behavior ensuring replies to CREDEG (Centre de Recherche et Développement Electricité et Gaz).
